Lost and Collapsed Paintings look at patterns of structural collapse. Many of the paintings specifically look at devastated libraries and cultural centers, holders of collective knowledge and community gatherings. The loss of accessible knowledge and community can ripple through generations. However, as in the Precarity Series, the paintings simultaneously embrace the pain of loss as well as the possibilities a collapse can present to rebuild a more just society. As dark as some of the paintings are, there is always light.
